Standard Backer Rod is an ideal non compressib le backup material inserted into a joint to control sealant depth. It creates a backstop to allow proper sealant tooling and allows proper sealant of the joint surfaces. Backer Rod forms a proper bond between the backup material and the sealant. It can also be used as a temporary joint seal.
